Sgurr a' Mhaim from Glen Nevis

4.9 miles, 1192 metres of ascent
Estimated time: 3h30m
Sgurr a' Mhaim lies just off the main ridge of the Mamores, it is possible to combine Sgurr a' Mhaim in a horseshow together with Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean which are both on the main Mamores ridge. Sguarr a' Mhaim is connected to the main ridge by a narrow arete called the Devil's Ridge, this has some sections of exposed scrambling with a couple of tricky moves. This route will instead leave Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean for another day.
Start from the car park at Achriabhach, take the path from the car park and follow it as it heads alongside Allt Coire a' Mhusgain. Follow this path for half a kilometre/third of a mile, leave the path here and head up the nose of the ridge on your left. This ridge takes you all the way to the top! (2h15m).
For the descent, you have a couple of options, your first option is to return back down the way you came. Alternatively you can also cross the Devil's Ridge over to the main Mamores ridge and head round to the col between Sgurr an lubhair and Stob Ban, this leaves a 'stroll' back down the valley to the starting point.
