Carn Dearg

Location:NN504764
Height:1034 m
3392 ft
Carn Dearg is a very remote mountain, the only reasonable starting point is from Dalwhinnie at the far Northern end of Loch Ericht. The trek from Dalwhinnie to Loch Pattack along the Western shores of Loch Ericht is long and really only achievable if most of it is done by bike.
This mountain may necessitate a stay in the bothy at Loch Pattack, with this option you also have options for Creag Pitridh, Geal Charn and Beinn a' Chlachair to the West as a second day.
