Geal-Charn is a very remote Munro, any day climbing this mountain is going to be a long one. There are two options here, Aonach Beag is about a mile to the West and the amount of re-ascent is fairly minimal. Aonach Beag and it's close neighbour Beinn Eibhinn and normally climbed from Corrour Halt train station/Loch Ossian Youth Hostel. You haven't got the time between the first train and last train to Corrour Halt to add Geal-Charn to the walk as well, but you could add it to make a long day if you were to spend the evening at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel.
The other way to climb this Munro is from Dalwhinnie at the North end of Loch Ericht and combine it with Carn Dearg. This is again another long day and can only really be considered if you have bikes with you; there is a 5 mile trek along the Western shores of Loch Ericht, and realistically has to be done by bike.
