Creag a'Mhaim

Location:NH087077
Height:947 m

Creag a' Mhaim lies on the far Eastern end of the long South Glen Shiel ridge. This mountain has two quite different sides, the North side has a lot of crags and is generally best avoided while the South side is a lot gentler. For this reason the main way up Creag a' Mhaim is to start from Cluanie Inn to the North and make your way round to the Eastern side before striking upwards.
The South Glen Shiel ridge is one of the classic walks in this area and takes in a total of seven Munros. It's a long day, but well worth it! The only downside is that your finish point is quite some distance from your starting point.
