Location:NH032087
Height:981 m

Maol Chinn-dearg is one of the many fairly unremarkable Munros on the South Glen Shiel ridge. It isn't much more than a bump on the ridge, but the re-ascent required is enough to satisfy the condition for being a Munro.
The South Glen Shiel ridge is one of the classic walks in this area and takes in a total of seven Munros. It's a long day, but well worth it! The only downside is that your finish point is quite some distance from your starting point.
