Sgurr an Lochain

Location:NH005104
Height:1004 m
3294 ft
Sgurr an Lochain lies on the Western end of the South Glen Shiel ridge, at just over a 1000m it is one of the higher Munros on the ridge and despite a fair amount of re-ascent required to get to the summit, it is fairly gentle from the East, but drops off a bit sharper to the West.
The South Glen Shiel ridge is one of the classic walks in this area and takes in a total of seven Munros. It's a long day, but well worth it! The only downside is that your finish point is quite some distance from your starting point.
