Beinn Mheadhoin

Height:1182 m
3878 ft
This is one of the least accessible mountains in all of the Cairngorm area, requiring a significant walk-in. You have two options, you can either reach the summit from the North from Aviemore, the problem with this approach thought is that the rather large massif of Cairngorm sits in your way necessatating a rather painful reascent twice from Loch Avon. Alternatively, you can do it from the South starting from Linn of Dee/Derry Lodge and coming up Glen Derry, but that day has a long walk in and walk out. Once you get to the summit there is a granite tor, the largest of these is the summit and the top is easily gained scrambling up the North side.
